Supporters' Club Question The Board
[Friday 9 May 2008 14:50:53]
In the wake of last weekend's events in Cardiff, the supporters' club have issued an open letter to the club's board of directors. Posted on their website as well as the forums and sent to various publications it states "This season has turned out to be the most disappointing for many years. With the exception of two games there has been a distinct lack of pride, passion and commitment, both on and off the pitch. The Board of Directors has a responsibility to the army of loyal supporters who feel bitterly demoralised and embarrassed by the current performance of the club." Follow the link for the statement in full. The next event for the club this this coming Tuesday 13th May when members will get the chance to quiz Terry Matterson. The event is at The Loft, Xscape. Membership is available on the night.

[Friday 9 May 2008 08:37:11]
One ray of light at the moment is the form of the Tigers' academy side. Last night they recorded their 4th win in 5 games this season with a 42-26 win at Hull KR. The win came thanks to a superb second half show, the side were losing 16-6 at the turnaround but 36 second half points meant we returned home with the spoils. Sam Lynch and Josh Atkinson both scored twice while points machine Joe Arundel added another 7 goals to his tally for the season. Raper Moves Into Coaching Ranks
[Thursday 8 May 2008 08:17:57]
The Illawarra Mercury reports that former Tiger Aaron Raper is moving into coaching having taken the head coaching position at Wollongong Bulls. Former team mate Dale Fritz will be the Bulls' fitness co-ordinator. Raper told the paper: "It's all happened pretty quick and I'm relishing the chance to coach in the Illawarra competition, which I've heard is a strong one. I'm new to it but we'll get a good indication of how things stand on Saturday."
Terry Looking To Start Again
[Thursday 8 May 2008 08:09:22]
Terry Matterson has told the Ponte & Cas that Cas need to forget what has gone on and start their season again. "I think in a way we need to start our season now," he said. "We've done some good things in the first half of the season but didn't win enough games. It's time to draw a line in the sand and move forward. I've still got confidence in them because I've seen what we can do. Two weeks is a long time in rugby league and I've no doubt that we can turn it around."
